Roentgenocephalometric Study of ODI in Primary Dentition

Abstract
To investigate the characteristic skeletal feature of overbite, A-B to Mn. plane, palatal to FH plane and sum of the two values were measured on the cephalogram.
Materials of this study were consisted of 24 males and 22 females, with normal occlusion and acceptable profile, and in late primary dentition.
The major conclusions may be listed as follows:
1. Means of A-B to Mn plane, palatal to FH plane and ODI between male and female respectively did not reveal any significant difference.
2. The mean value of A-B to Mn plane was 70. 75, of Palatal to FH plane was -2.35 and of ODI was 68.22.
3. Compare with the values of this study, 10y9m group and 19y-6m group, the values of A-B to Mn plane did not show any significant difference.
But the values of Palatal to FH plane and ODI increased according to age.
